How do I cock the hammers when my L.C. Smith shotgun is disassembled?

Left hammer is down, with a cocking tool (714/956-2869) in place. The arm of the cocking rod must be ROTATED DOWN.

An alternative is to use a small wrench.  Right hammer is down, with a small wrench in place.

A second option is to use a 4 inch adjustable wrench (consider wrapping the jaws with electrical tape)
